The BDS program is designed to impart comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in dental science. The BDS program at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, ensuring that our graduates receive recognition and accreditation in the field of dentistry. Our affiliation with these boards reflects our commitment to maintaining the highest educational standards.

The BDS program is a 5-year undergraduate course, including a 1-year mandatory internship. The comprehensive curriculum covers both theoretical and practical aspects of dental science, preparing students for a successful career in dentistry.

We admit a limited number of students each year to ensure personalized attention and quality education. Currently, our annual student intake for the BDS program is 100.

Allocation of seats for the program is as follows: 35% of seats are reserved for government allocation, 45% for private government allocation, and 20% for management allocation. The seat distribution is conducted through an online counseling process overseen by the Karnataka Examination Authority (kea.kar.nic.in).
