Our department, dedicated to women's health, encompasses both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care throughout the phases of maternity and beyond.

Obstetrics:
Obstetrics focuses on the medical and surgical care before, during, and after childbirth, ensuring the complete health of women during maternity.

​

Gynaecology:
Gynaecology is the branch of medicine dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of women's reproductive system, covering a broad spectrum of reproductive health issues.

List of Specific Objectives and Services:

​

Antenatal, Intranatal, and Post-natal Care:

Provide quality care during all stages of normal and abnormal pregnancy, labor, and the post-natal period.

Management of Complicated Pregnancies:

Offer effective and adequate care for pregnant women with complicated pregnancies.

Obstetrical Ultrasound and Doppler:

Perform obstetrical ultrasounds for both normal and abnormal pregnancies, including Doppler studies.

Gynaecological Problems and Cancer Management:

Provide quality care for the diagnosis and management of gynaecological problems, including screening and management of gynaecological cancers, even during pregnancy.

Infertility Evaluation and Assisted Reproductive Techniques:

Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of infertile couples and have knowledge of assisted reproductive techniques.

Laparoscopic & Hysteroscopic Services:

Offer minimal invasive surgical services such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cyst removal, tubectomy, etc.

Counselling on Fertility Regulation:

Provide counselling and delivery of fertility regulation methods, including reversible and irreversible contraception, emergency contraception, etc.

Management of Spontaneous Abortion and Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP):

Provide quality care to women experiencing spontaneous abortion or requesting Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) and manage related complications.

Urogynaecology Services:

Offer urogynaecology services including vault prolapse surgery, fistula repair, and stress urinary incontinence repair.
