Welcome to the B.Sc in Optometry program at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College. Our program is meticulously designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills in the field of optometry. The Optometry program proudly aligns with the Karnataka State
Diploma Nursing Examination Board (KSDNEB) ensuring that our curriculum meets the highest standards in optometry education. Our affiliation signifies our commitment to delivering quality and up-to-date training in this vital healthcare discipline.

The B.Sc in Optometry program spans 3 years, 1 year internship, encompassing both academic and practical training. Students engage in a robust curriculum covering various aspects of optometry, ensuring they are well-prepared for professional practice.

In order to nurture a concentrated and conducive learning atmosphere, we adhere to a limited annual enrollment for the Optometry program, offering 20 seats per year.

4 seats are assigned based on merit through online counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (kea.kar.nic.in), while the management of Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Allied Health Sciences allocates the remaining 16 seats.
