About The Event

The objectives of the programme were as follows:  To raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding for both infants and mothers.  To educate students, staff, and the community about breastfeeding practices.  To encourage healthcare professionals (ASHA workers and ANMs) to support and counsel new mothers.

Department of Community Medicine Advantages and common problems during breastfeeding- By Dr. Madhusudhan, Department of Paediatrics Antenatal Preparation for breastfeeding and breastfeeding in special situations- By Dr. Sinchana Hegde, assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Identifying and treating psychological problems in feeding mothers- By Dr. Harsha, Professor, Department of Psychiatry A brief presentation of the facilities and services provided by Dr. B.R Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital was given to all the ASHA workers and ANMs by Dr. Srinivas.
