About The Event
he Pulse Polio Immunization Programme was conducted from 21st to 24th December in the areas of
Sulthanpalya, Lingarajapuram, and Bagalur. The programme aimed to administer eral polio vaccine (OPV) to all eligible children in the age group of 0-5 years, as part of the national effort to maintain polio-free status. A training session was conducted a day prior to the start of the programme. It was led by the Medical Officers of the allocated PHCs and aimed at orienting the students for the programme.
Students from 2nd and 3rd year Mbbs in coordination with the respective Medical officers and PHC staff, actively participated in the programme. They were involved in vaccination activities, and community outreach under the Pulse Polio initiative
Day 1 (21st December):
Booth vaccination was carried out at designated vaccination booths in the assigned arnas belonging to Sulthanpalya, Lingarajapuram, and Bagalur UPHC areas. It was manned by 2…
